Pregnancy is such an amazing time and should be celebrated. So, we often get asked “when is the best time for Maternity photos?”

The human body is an incredible thing, especially that of a Mother-to-be, the wonderful thing your body is able to achieve (even though at times it doesn’t feel so wonderful, granted) the holding and creating of a life! Whether you feel great or not, it’s really important to photograph this special moment to be remember, because once that baby is born it’s so hard to remember that you were ever pregnant. I often get clients looking back on their photographs saying they had forgotten what it was like and appreciating being able to look through photos of such. precious time. Your children will also appreciate seeing you with them in your tummy…the wonder of the beginning of their life.

So, when is it best for maternity photos? A maternity or pregnancy photography session is best held from around 33weeks right up to 37weeks of pregnancy, depending on how you’re feeling. We offer indoor studio sessions or we also offer some limited, outdoor sessions. We are so lucky to be living in Brisbane, we can go outside nearly anytime of year for that gorgeous afternoon light.

What would you wear? I hear you ask. Well, if you don’t have a dress, don’t worry, we have a selection in our wardrobe and we can also style something for you, it’s amazing what we can create. We also have fabulous contacts for purchasing or hiring something special, let us point you in the right direction to find that perfect outfit. Just remember this is all about celebrating you and your beautiful bump.

From Bump to Baby!

At the moment we are offering, for a very limited time…

Book your newborn photography session and receive a complimentary maternity session! All that’s needed is payment of your newborn session booking fee with your proposed due date, booking fee must be received before the end of January 2021. Your session is welcome anytime throughout the year.

We book you in for your newborn photography session based on your due date and once your beautiful baby is born we confirm a date for your session. The newborn photography sessions are held in my studio in Banyo, North Brisbane. Your maternity session is booked between the 33-37week mark.

Once we’ve completed your photography session/s, I carefully select and edit the best photographs to form an amazing gallery. When this is completed, you will be invited back in to the studio to view your gorgeous photographs. This is such an exciting time for you and your family. I aim to have your photographs ready for you as soon as possible, usually within 2 to 3 weeks after your photography session. Viewing your photographs is so exciting and I am here to help and guide you along the way. There are many gorgeous products and packages to choose from to suit your personal needs and family home.
